This discourse was delivered at the recent Inner Awakening Program in Beguluru. Inner Awakening is a 21 day experiential meditation program to live enlightenment or Jivan Mukthi. In this discouse Swamiji talks of three kinds of people - those who catch the master, those who miss the master and those who abuse the master. He tells us that it is great when one catches the Master, it is still OK if you miss the master since the Master leaves the door open for us. He tells us that one should never engage in abusing the Master. Swamiji also sheds light on transmittal of Jivan Mukthi or Living Enlightenment - it only happens in the physical plane from the muscle memory of a living enlightened master to the muscle memory of the disciple. The auspicious occasion of Guru Poornima was celebrated with great devotion and enthusiasm at Nithyananda Dhyanapeetam, Bidadi on July 7, 2009. Guru Poornima is a beautiful day of great reverence reminding one of the deepest of relationships guru-disciple relationship. This is the only day when the guru takes bhiksha (offering) from his devotees while the devotees have the gift of the opportunity to offload their karmas and ego at the feet of the guru. In his address to the tens of thousands who had gathered on Guru Poornima, Paramahamsa Nithyananda spoke on vitarka the right reasoning that helps overcome all suffering in life and which enables us to live life in an auspicious manner. Instead of living in vitarka we live spend our life in kutarka, which is the logic of cunning behavior. Such cunning logic may in the short run seem to bring us material benefits but it always results in suffering. Vitarka or right reasoning results in is-ness, just being. Is-ness in turn results in ease-ness, which is happiness and bliss. Following the Masters words and his body language helps develop vitarka. When he became patient with seeking this singular thought, then everything suddenly opened up. He started feeling alive in everything and this resulted in the enlightenment experience. On April 21st 2009, Paramahamsa Nithyananda delivered his first scheduled discourse on Patanjalis Yoga Sutra at the Sri Radha Krishna Temple in Houston, Texas. He commented on the seventeenth Patanjali Yoga Sutra. Nithyananda expressed deep gratitude for his upbringing in a small Indian temple village where his inner space was not corrupted and the vitarka (right reasoning) was able to flower. He narrated the beautiful incident from his biography (feeding the Ganapati idol in his young age). He said that the right reasoning helped him to connect very deeply to the Ganapati idol as pure energy, in so much that Ganapati was alive in front of him and ate the food he offered! Nithyananda declared this incident as his first experience of samprajnata samadhi.
