Get Out of Your Insecurity | Nithyananda Satsang | 16 Jul 2012

TALKS FROM MORNING SATSANG ON JULY 16 2012 IN Kodailanal, INDIA In today's morning satsang, Paramahamsa Nithyananda (Swamji) takes questions from devotees. One questioner asks whether it is possible for the human body to contain the frequency of enlightenment , and states that he is willing to risk death to become enlightened. Paramahamsa answers that the primary obstacle to achieving enlightenment is our fear of death. Once we decide that we are willing to die for the sake of an experience, death loses its power over us. We become strong enough to hold the energy of awakened kundalini within our nervous system. We achieve the yogic body required to support the Vedic mind of an enlightened being. So long as we are weakened by dread, our nervous system cannot raise us to the zone of super-consciousness. Only by surrendering to the depths of our terror do we transcend the threat of our mortality . Then we discover our ability to radiate enlightenment. Intution is not Blind Faith | Nithyananda Satsang | 07 Jul 2012

TALKS FROM MORNING SATSANG ON JULY 7 2012 AT MADURAI, INDIA In today's morning satsang, Paramahamsa Nithyananda (Swamiji) answers questions. A devotee asks how she can distinguish between intuition and blind faith. Paramahamsa responds that no faith we turn toward the inner world is blind. Whenever we sense an inner voice, it is always the voice of our intuition. Faith becomes blind when we turn it outward and place our trust in external, material surroundings. If accept the falsehoods of media and politics without questioning, we voluntarily blind ourselves. Uncover Your Enlightenment | Nithyananda Satsang | 06 Jul 2012

TALKS FROM MORNING SATSANG ON JULY 6 2012 AT MADURAI AADHEENAM, INDIA Bhagavad Gita (Song of God) is a timeless treatise on the essence of living enlightenment. The Gita was imparted by the enlightened Hindu incarnation Sri Krishna to the warrior-prince Arjuna over 5000 years ago. Amazingly, the spiritual wisdom and life solutions offered in the Gita are so universal and current that even today it is used as a personal transformation guide. In today's talk on Bhagavad Gita, chapter 5 verse 16, Paramahamsa Nithyananda unveils the sacred secret of this verse. Enlightenment shines like a bright sun within each of us. Many of us mistake the pursuit of knowledge for the path to enlightenment. Some traditions have actually abandoned their quest to expand their inner space, turning instead toward the acquisition of knowledge. This distraction creates a cloud that covers our essential brilliance. We need only to remove the cloud, and our spiritual light blazes forth in radiant glory. TRANSCRIPTIONS:- Today I'll enter into the satsang Jnaanena tu tadjnaanam Yeshaam naashitam -- aatmanaha Teshaam aadityavat jnaanam prakaashayathi tatparam The translation : On the other hand they, whose ignorance of the essential nature is destroyed by the consciousness, thereafter illumine and manifest the sacred knowledge like the Sun. Nothing compared to Krishna to be a orator. If it is Shiva's word, I have to add two words extra or reduce few words. Shiva's language is a very common man's language. Of course mass can understand. Common person can understand. That is the specialty of Shiva. Great philosophies he will express in common man's language. Krishna, even a simple instruction he will sing in poetry. Even a very simple thing, he will say it in such a sophisticated way. The King, the King's language training which he went through, you can see in every line, every word he utters. After all he was trained in Gurukul, polished, prepared to be a King. So naturally his language, body language, life style, skills, everything is of king's. Can see very clearly how beautifully he puts the whole thing. On the other hand they, whose ignorance of the essential nature is destroyed by the consciousness, thereafter illumine and manifest the sacred knowledge like the Sun. One of the best entertainment, time pass I have is just read the Gita verses. Nothing else! I won't even get into the explanations, stories and all that; just Sanskrit verse and English translation. I tell you guys, Gita is not just philosophical book. It's a very powerful entrainment. The sacred secret you need to know from this verse is - You don't need to gain knowledge, you don't need to gain enlightenment. Please understand, it is there like a sun. It is shining always. All you need to do is work on removing the ignorance. The biggest problem is, please understand, this one small understanding. Shifts the way you put your efforts. If you think knowledge needs to be gained, you will continuously spend your time only in reading, accumulating knowledge. No! That is why yesterday when somebody asked, what is the importance of knowledge in the spiritual path, it's like reading a Manu card. That's it! See, once you have the basic principles explained to you, now your effort has to be only in the line of destroying the ignorance, not gaining knowledge. The enormous amount of literatures produced. In course of time, the gaining knowledge itself takes 200 years and people forget gaining knowledge is not achieving enlightenment. It is like a menu card. Knowledge is like a menu card. You can't go without reading it and you can't be just sitting and reading it. Once you read it plan to eat. You need to have the book. It is not that you will scramble around. It is not that. You can do without menu card. But continuously reading the menu card is not going to work. Jnaanena tu tadjnaanam Yeshaam naashitam -- aatmanaha Teshaam aadityavat jnaanam prakaashayathi tatparam Bagavan is very clear. 'prakaashayathi tatparam' - It just illumines like the sun. So understand this example. Sun covered by the cloud. Now the cloud needs to be dispelled. But ordinary way you understand knowledge as, you have to make one kilogram gold, then two kilogram gold, three kilogram gold, four kilogram gold, you have to acquire, accumulate, accumulate. Unfortunately ordinary human mind understands achieving enlightenment as in this line. One kilogram gold, two kilogram gold, three kilogram gold then there will be one time you will have all the gold in the world. You will be owner. Then you are enlightened. No! That is not. It is like you are a sun shining. Cloud has covered. Destroy the cloud and you will shine again. Understand the big difference between these two examples. The attitude with which you start is going to play a major role in your journey. Please understand. It is very important. The attitude with which, the understanding with which you start your journey,

You are beyond joy and suffering | Nithyananda Satsang | 02 Jul 2012

Bhagavad Gita (Song of God) is a timeless treatise on the essence of living enlightenment. In this morning's talk on Bhagavad Gita, Chapter 5, Verse 15, Paramahamsa Nithyananda (Swamiji) expounds on the nature of the essential Self. Our inner space neither disturbs those around it, nor is it disrupted by surrounding events. It experiences neither suffering nor joy. If we regard this statement from the perspective of our past encounters we are convinced it is false, for each of us believes that we remember incidents of pain or delight. The part of us that has these feelings of agony and pleasure, however, is not our true essence. It is only the reflection of our essence -- our intelligence or manas, that perceives these sensations. When we understand that our inner space is pure, beyond any emotion, we can begin to live completely, in conscious clarity. TRANSCRIPTIONS:- Bhagavad Gita Chapter-5, Sanyasa Yoga, Verse-15 Naadatte Kasyacit Paapam na chaiva Sukrutam Vibhuhu Ajnaanena aavrutam jnaanam tena muhyanti jantavaha The translation: The inner space does not choose bad fortune or auspiciousness. Man is bewildered by the consciousness that is covered by ignorance. Naadatte Kasyacit Paapam na chaiva Sukrutam Vibhuhu Ajnaanena aavrutam jnaanam tena muhyanti jantavaha Bagavan is reminding all of us to get back to that witnessing consciousness, which is our origin, the place, the space in which we are established, the space in which we are going to dissolve. Naadatte Kasyacit Paapam na chaiva Sukrutam Vibhuhu Ajnaanena aavrutam jnaanam tena muhyanti jantavaha The inner space does not choose bad, it does not choose good. It neither feels bad, nor feels good. When you are covered by ignorance, that is the moment you feel something is bad, something is good. So Understand, first thing you need to know - Only for enlightenment, this human body has worth. Human life is worthy only for enlightenment! It is not worthy for anything else. And if you are working, thinking, functioning, keeping anything else as the priority, suffering is inevitable. Naadatte Kasyacit Paapam na chaiva Sukrutam Vibhuhu How I feel when I hear this line, you know, Naadatte Kasyacit Paapam na chaiva Sukrutam Vibhuhu. If you attend this "Koun Banega Karorpati" shows, this kind of some shows and that person declares "you won one crore", that word how you will feel, I can say the same ecstasy, I feel when I listen to these words - Naadatte Kasyacit Paapam na chaiva Sukrutam Vibhuhu. Because, the moment you hear you got one crore, now you know so many of your dreams are going to be fulfilled, your future is going to be bright or whatever way you want, you are going to live. There is a huge freedom in your life for you to fly. When I hear this word, I feel exactly the same. God! Then my whole future is free. I am this free being! Of course, even if I don't hear that, I am going to feel, that is different, because of the experience. Even if you have 10 crore, if they give you 1 more crore, naturally it is going to be. I tell you, even if you have enlightenment experience, when Bagavan says this words, it is so beautiful, reassuring, reconfirming, your experience. Naadatte Kasyacit Paapam na chaiva Sukrutam Vibhuhu Ajnaanena aavrutam jnaanam tena muhyanti jantavaha Your inner space neither suffers nor enjoys. Only when the ignorance is covered, only when your consciousness is covered by ignorance, you get into that confusion. You are bewildered. You can't understand what is right, what is wrong. You do not know what it is. Only then suffering starts. Yesterday I was reported by some of our Ashramites. One Kannada channel has collected few top psychiatrists and psycho-analysts of the country and gave them lot of money and try to do a very abusive show on me. Do you know the funny thing? Finally, without even their knowledge, without even they knowing, they complimented me and went away. Let me tell you the whole show. This anchor fellow who is this channel person, is trying to put continuously poison and convincing those psycho-analysts and psychiatrists to give a negative statements about me. He is saying "when you listen to his discourses, don't you see he has a split personality?" And they also took my different pictures, me sitting with goggles and Kailash, me sitting here like a Yogi in saffron, some of my photographs with Shervani and they even ran a show on my dress. Of course about that I will talk later-on. And with all these evidences they are showing all different pictures of me and the you tube clips, some time like a child talking, some time like a god blessing, all that they mixed

Attachment to Reward is Psychological Slavery | Nithyananda Satsang | 29 June 2012

In (29th june 2012) morning's talk on Bhagavad Gita, Chapter 5, Verse 12, Paramahamsa Nithyananda (Swamiji) takes up the deepest level of the subject of attachment. The last attachment we drop is the subtle clinging to being rewarded for our performance. When we implement our intense action for the purpose of receiving reward, we enslave ourselves to the source of the reward. We tailor our performance to please those who will reward us. Our actions do not spring from inner freedom. We are ruled by the greed for admiration and the fear of criticism ; we work not for the purpose itself, but for the compensation we hope to gain. Paramahamsa instructs us to surrender this attachment. Relinquishing our slavery grants a far greater reward: the spiritual spaciousness of inner peace. In this morning's talk on Bhagavad Gita, Chapter 5, Verses 8&9, Paramahamsa Nithyananda (Swamiji) describes the experience of intense action. When we immerse ourselves fully into activity, the body functions spontaneously. It moves without the direction of the mind. When the body is still and the mind is in motion, we feel endless restlessness; but when the body is engaged in complete action the mind becomes quiet. Then our creativity can flower to its fullness. This is the essence of living enlightenment, jeevan mukti. Purify Yourself Through Intense Action | Nithyananda Satsang | 24 Jun 2012

In (24th June 2012) morning's talk on Bhagavad Gita, Chapter 5, Verse 7, Paramahamsa Nithyananda (Swamiji) explains how intense action provides an avenue to enlightenment. When we engage in intense action, which silences the mind and stimulates the body, we are purified of our negative beliefs and memories. Many of us fear that our willingness to be intensely active causes us to be taken advantage of. If we agree to work, we may be exploited. But Bhagawan Sri Krishna has no need to take advantage of anyone. Paramahamsa reassures us that Krishna's instruction to commit ourselves to intense action is for our benefit. The action purifies us and sets us free from fear and laziness. Having passed over these great hurdles, we approach the state of living enlightenment. When we live in a state of openness to whatever may come, available to all possibilities, we are living in dharma. When we close off opportunities, either out of disbelief that they are possible, or out of desire to limit and control our lives, we turn away from dharmic living. Staying open to all possibilities allows us to expand our consciousness and flow with the energy of life. Discover Your Possibilities | Nithyananda Satsang | 20 Jun 2012

TALKS FROM MORNING SATSANG ON JUNE 20 2012 AT MADURAI ADHEENAM, INDIA Bhagavad Gita (Song of God) is a timeless treatise on the essence of living enlightenment. In this morning's talk on Bhagavad Gita, Chapter 5, Verse 5, Paramahamsa Nithyananda (Swamiji) encourages us to explore our possibilities. The two extremes of self-exploration are motionless meditation and intense action. Both lead us to the same state of spiritual freedom. Self-exploration through contemplation is jnana samyama, enlightenment through wisdom; self-exploration through action is karma samyama, enlightenment through industriousness. Exploring one's physical possibilities is yoga, bodily expression of the divine; emotional exploration leads to bhakti, the feeling connection with God; mental exploration results in siddhi, super-conscious ability; and spiritual exploration gives us mukti -- enlightenment. All these possibilities are available to each of us: we have only to choose our route. The destination is eternally the same. TRANSCRIPTIONS:- Lets enter into today's satsang, 5th Chapter Sanyasa Yoga, 5th verse. yat-saankhyaihi praapyate staanam tadyo gairapi gamyate | ekam sankhyam cha yogam cha yah pashyati sa pashyati || Translation: only the one who perceives discriminative knowledge and intense action as one really perceives, for the state achieved through discriminative knowledge and intense action is one and the same. Bhagavan is showing the beautiful path of attaining the ultimate. Bhagavan is using two times the same word -- pashyati. yat-saankhyaihi praapyate staanam tadyo gairapi gamyate | ekam sankhyam cha yogam cha yah pashyati sa pashyati || yah pashyati sa pashyati -- that is the keyword in this whole verse. Who perceives the discriminative knowledge and intense action as one, only he perceives the truth, the ultimate. How can you perceive the knowledge, the atma vichara and karma yoga both as one and the same? How is it possible? Because human beings have innate hatred to work, intense action. If somehow they get tuned, the build a pattern of intense action, they develop innate hatred to just sitting and contemplating, exploring themselves. Unfortunately human beings are always single sided. They tend to lean to one extreme. Either you move to the contemplation, mental work or you move to intense action, physical work. Very rarely people perceive both as one and the same. I tell you, the keyword in this verse -- yah pashyati sa pashyati, I can give you one key to understand the discriminative knowledge and intense action is one and the same. The bridging point is exploring your possibility is samyama. Discovering your own possibilities is samyama. If you are discovering your possibilities by constantly contemplating, you are doing jnana samyama. If you are exploring all your possibilities through intense action, you are doing karma samyama. If you do samyama, either on jnana or karma, you will understand both are one and the same. I can tell you from my own experience how I was exploring my different possibilities and sharing with the world. You start looking at my life. From the age of 12, I can say, I started exploring jnana samyama through contemplation, exploring and discovering my various possibilities. Please understand, when you explore and discover your emotional possibilities, that ripes into bhakti. When you explore and discover your physical possibilities, you become yogi. When you explore and discover your mental possibilities, it becomes siddhis. When you explore and discover your conscious possibilities, it becomes enlightenment. From the age of 12, I was constantly exploring and discovering my various possibilities through contemplation. From the age of 22, I am exploring and discovering my various possibilities through intense action. If you see, when I started my public life, my activities, I was not even able to speak English fluently more than a few sentences. I started my public life in 2003. And at the most I could sit for 2-3 hours, and take some classes or do some healing. Then I will lie down. My body was not capable of continuously working. But I could see very clearly, when I started the exploring and discovering my capabilities, my possibilities, now so many extraordinary truths get downloaded into the system without even my effort and comes out. And hours and hours of intense action, work automatically is happening in my system without even me remembering the idea of tiredness. Forget about controlling or suppressing tiredness. The idea of tiredness! The possibilities... when you explore the possibilities and discover,

How to find clarity in confusion0:22:55

How to find clarity in confusion

Swamiji explains - Are you feeling confused and unsure about how to move forward in life? Let me share with you a powerful solution - embrace intense action! In this enlightening video, I reveal the secret to breaking free from confusion and making progress towards your goals. When I took on the responsibility of Madurai Adheenam, many people doubted my capabilities. But I knew that standing up for what I believed in and fulfilling my mission of spreading enlightenment was worth the challenges I would face. The seat of Madurai Adheenam became my source of strength and guidance. In moments of confusion and dilemma, taking up responsibility and expanding your actions can lead you towards clarity. However, I must confess that this responsibility was not a walk in the park. It required gathering all the pieces and putting them together to create something magnificent. Life, with all its complexities and struggles, is like a play. It may seem heavy and burdensome at times, just like the weight I carry wearing these rudrakshas. But that's the beautiful essence of life - it tests us, challenges us, and teaches us valuable lessons. To gain wisdom and overcome uncertainty, I turned to writing and transcribing my own discourses. It was an eye-opening experience that allowed me to delve deeper into the truths I shared. Every point and insight became clearer, revealing a systematic approach to understanding life's complexities. Hard work, not smart work, holds great power. I often say that hard work in a hostile situation can turn you into a leader. Just like navigating through the chaotic traffic of Kolkata, if you can drive there, you can drive anywhere in the world. The challenges I faced in spreading spirituality prepared me to inspire Tamil people and, ultimately, anyone around the globe. During the first ten years of my mission, I worked tirelessly, setting the standards and methods of reaching out to people. It was a period of growth, where I polished my skills and developed the ability to inspire others. Now, I am confident that I can touch lives and make a difference wherever I go. Let me assure you that embracing intense action and confronting hostility head-on can lead to personal growth and success. By standing up and taking charge, you can overcome confusion and find clarity on your journey towards enlightenment. So, if you're feeling lost or uncertain, don't hesitate. Take the leap, embrace intense action, and watch as clarity unfolds in your life. Join me in this transformative journey towards fulfillment and self-discovery. Conquer Doubt Through Action | Nithyananda Satsang | 02 Jun 2012 In (2nd June 2012) morning's talk on Bhagavad Gita, Chapter 4 Verse 42, Paramahamsa Nithyananda (Swamiji) reveals the path to resolving confusion in our life. At moments when we are surrounded by chaos, or when we are unsure of what to do, we should immediately commit ourselves to intense action. When we initiate our creativity our consciousness spontaneously expands. Hard work raises us to keener awareness and carves us into leadership. If we find ourselves in the midst of adverse circumstances we should increase the intensity of our commitment. Ultimately we discover that we can accomplish more than we thought possible. We extend our capacity for efficiency and achievement. Bhagavad Gita (Song of God) is a timeless treatise on the essence of living enlightenment. Inaction in Action Is Enlightenment | Nithyananda Satsang | 01 Jun 2012

In (1st June 2012) this morning's talk on Bhagavad Gita, Chapter 4 Verse 41, Paramahamsa Nithyananda (Swamiji) is clarifying the practice of intense action. Intense action takes place when there is no diversion of our energy, when we are not attached to or distracted by other thoughts. When we exist in a sustained mood of unclutching, all our actions are intense and effective. Paramahamsa gives a technique to strengthen our unclutching: begin with a short time of simple unclutched mood, just sitting quietly. Then gradually add some physical actions while maintaining the mood: yogasanas are the perfect choice. Yoga is the essence of unclutched action. As we gain skill and confidence, we can carry our unclutched state into our daily activities. This is intense inaction in action -- living enlightenment. Put an end to your dirty ignorance | Nithyananda Satsang | 31 May 20120:30:21

Put an end to your dirty ignorance | Nithyananda Satsang | 31 May 2012

Bhagavad Gita (Song of God) is a timeless treatise on the essence of living enlightenment. The Gita was imparted by the enlightened Hindu incarnation Sri Krishna to the warrior-prince Arjuna over 5000 years ago. Amazingly, the spiritual wisdom and life solutions offered in the Gita are so universal and current that it is even today used as a personal transformation guide. In this morning's talk on Bhagavad Gita, Chapter 4 Verse 40, Paramahamsa Nithyananda (Swamiji) distinguishes between "sweet ignorance" and "dirty ignorance". Sri Krishna's words are very strong in this verse: He severely condemns those who refuse all opportunities to receive wisdom. Paramahamsa explains that while "sweet ignorance" is the innocent lack of knowledge which joyfully accepts new information, "dirty ignorance" is the cynical stubborn doubt of those who are generously offered wisdom from the Master, and are suspicious of it. When we suspect the motives of the divine as It extends a helping hand, it is we who reject salvation. God does not curse us, but we ourselves create a hell from which only we can engineer our rescue. By setting down our cynicism and acknowledging the unconditional love of the Divine, we can raise ourselves to catch the rope He casts to us. Otherwise we drown in the ocean of our own suspicion. TRANSCRIPTIONS:- Chapter 4.40 "ajnas casraddadhanas ca samsayatma vinasyati | nayam loko 'sti na paro na sukham samsayatmanah||" Each one of this verse in this chapter is a very popular quotation. Translation -- "The one who is ignorant who does not have trust and who is a skeptic perish. They do not have this ordinary life or the higher life. There is no sense of well-being for the skeptic.' It is like a blow on the brain not just mind. Sometime blow on the mind you don't catch it that strongly. So blow on the brain is the only way. Beautiful word 'samsayatma vinasyati.' It is a shock, powerful shock Bhagavan gives. I know for sure many of the orthodox idiots of those days would have screened at Bhagavan -- how dare you say vinasyati? See it is like a imagine, I won't do it. Imagine suddenly I say all the fellows who have opposed me, who are doubting me, let them all vomit blood and die! Then understand how much of opposition I will attract and how it will be shocking for people. First thing all the fellows will say -- how dare! This fellow tell all these things? How can an enlightened person say all these types of words? You will scream too many thousands of foolish things. That is why I am not saying it, I am saying Bhagavan is saying. But when I repeat it, I mean it. Understand it is a strong word Bhagavan is using. He says samsayatma vinasyati means I think now he is almost fed up of Arjuna and his dirty ignorance. See there is something called as sweet ignorance. Means when a disciple is ignorant, he comes to you with a suffering, you sit with him and you offer the solution, he imbibes it and stands up with life and light. It is such a sweet ignorance! Even ignorance can add sweetness to you and your master. When you stand up, when you are out, even ignorance can be sweet. But this is too much! I think it would have gone to the extreme. I know how Krishna's face would have been when he uttered this word -- samsayatma vinasyati! He must have been really, really, really tired of this Arjuna's dirty ignorance. I won't even say dirty ignorance. I tell you all dirty ignorance is clear arrogant doubting of the authenticity of the master itself. I have seen when some disciples are in depression, suffering. When I call and give them the solution, if they don't practice, if they don't want to come out of the depression, I will always clearly see that they are doubting the very authenticity of me. The moment you doubt the authenticity of me, I cannot help you. See it is like a you are struggling in the ocean, screaming for my help. I am sitting on the ship and sending a rope to you, please hold this rope I will lift you; If you say no I don't even know how to hold the rope, I am struggling even for that then I can at least come down, and hold you by the hand and lift and bring. Or if you doubt the very authenticity -- aah, who knows after taking me to the ship you will kill me or not, after taking me into the ship you may kill me, what will happen? When you doubt the very authenticity, the purpose of rescuing -- bye! I can't even say good bye! I can only bye J I think Bhagavan is seeing Arjuna doubting very authenticity of Krishna. He is fed up. Sick and tired. Otherwise in this 700 verses of Bhagavad Gita, not a single verse other than this where Bhagavan curses people. Even in Anu Gita. See Bhagavan has written two books one is Bhagavad Gita, another is Anu Gita. Both are written by Bhagavan. In both the books other than this one verse, nowhere he curses. This is the only recorded evidence of any enlightened being cursing. Please understand any incarnation cursing and that curse being recorded.

Courageous Trust Can Conquer All Obstacles | Nithyananda Satsang | 29 May 20120:20:09

Courageous Trust Can Conquer All Obstacles | Nithyananda Satsang | 29 May 2012

Bhagavad Gita (Song of God) is a timeless treatise on the essence of living enlightenment. The Gita was imparted by the enlightened Hindu incarnation Sri Krishna to the warrior-prince Arjuna over 5000 years ago. Amazingly, the spiritual wisdom and life solutions offered in the Gita are so universal and current that it is even today used as a personal transformation guide. In this morning's talk on Bhagavad Gita, Chapter 4 Verse 39, Paramahamsa Nithyananda (Swamiji) inspires us to invoke the power of shraddha in our spiritual practice. Shraddha is usually translated as "faith". Paramahamsa extends this definition to embrace "courage": the fortitude required to endure the pressures that push us into enlightenment. When we yearn for the enlightened state we feel a suffocation, a constraint that our present awareness is too small and too confined. With shraddha we can permit that suffocation to work on us, to burst us open like a seed sprouting into a tree. Paramahamsa gives us a technique to relieve the pressure: share our knowledge with others. This allows us to expand our boundary and release the sense of suffocation. TRANSCRIPTIONS:- Swamiji : Today's Satsang : In Bhagavad Gita, 4th chapter , Jnana Karma Sanyas Yoga, 39th verse Shraddhaa-vaallabhate Jnaanam tatparaha samyatendriyaha I Jnaanam labdhvaa param shaanthim achirenaadhi-gacchathi II Translation : The person with the trust catches hold of consciousness. Beyond that he subdues the power of the senses. Having attained the state of consciousness very soon he acquires supreme auspiciousness. A person with shraddhaa ! shraddhaa ! The very word is so beautiful and powerful ! Courageous trust is what I call shraddhaa ! Unless the seed has the courage to be pressured by the sand and break open, it can never become tree. Same way, unless your nerves, your cognizing system, the system in which, system through which you take cognizance of life in your system, means through which you perceive, unless that goes through the supreme spiritual yearning pressure, the suffocation due to the insufficient feeling of your capacity to perceive. Please understand, the only difference between you and me is that I can perceive little more, deep into time and space. You can comprehend using your mind may be little bit from the past and little bit in the present and little bit in the future and little bit happening around you. I can perceive little more in the past, little more in the present, little more in the future, little more in the outer and inner space, that's it! So the yearning to perceive more, suffocation of lower level of perception is the basic requirement for Enlightenment. Unfortunately when that happens, you give different reasons for that suffocation and run away. Actually when somebody comes into the organization and I awaken their Kundalini, the suffocation of insufficient perception only is awakened in them. But unfortunately they feel I think this suffocation is because of the structuring (department), because people don't care about me. They attribute to all outside and run away, escape. It is not because of any other person, it is because of your Kundalini awakening. When the Kundalini is awakened, the first thing will happen to you is you will feel the insufficient perception, the suffocation of insufficient perception. Shraddha is the strength to face the insufficient suffocation and break it, make it into a complete perception, your capability to perceive, your capability to expand. Bhagavan is hitting again and again on this same point last three verses. You can see clearly last three verses he goes on talking about 'spontaneous readiness for intense action'. Still that word is there in my tongue like a hangover of the sweet ! See if you eat some sweet you really like, at least for next 10 minutes you will have the hangover in your tongue. That word is so beautiful - Spontaneous readiness for intense action. Still that word there is in my throat like a sweet ! Now Bhagavan uses beautiful words Shraddhaa-vaallabhate Jnaanam. These three words are used in Vedanta again and again in many places. This three words are popular words, in Aatmabodha, in many of the Shankara literatures and the later Surshwarshwara's Vartikas and Bodhendra Saraswati's Teekas and many other post Shankara Vedantic literatures talk about this word Shraddhaa-vaallabhate Jnaanam. All you need is the courage to stand your own yearning, intense yearning. I tell you, seed has to feel the pressure, from outside the pressure of sand, from inside the pressure to become a tree. Only then it slowly opens up and becomes a tree. Same way, when somebody comes here to learn from me, to imbibe from me, the first thing I do I try to expand their perception, their capability to look into past, present, future, outer space and inner space. Please understand, if somebody is screaming at you, if you start immediately hating the person, your perception is too small in the outer space.

Enlightenment Is Readiness For Action | Nithyananda Satsang | 28 May 2012

In 28th may 2012 morning's talk on Bhagavad Gita, Chapter 4 Verse 38, Paramahamsa Nithyananda (Swamiji) describes a process for developing "the wealth of our inner space". He tells us that in any area of life where we are spontaneously ready for intense action, we exhibit spiritual treasure. Our ability to engage in intense action without urging or fatigue is truly interior wealth. When we apply this priniciple to our consciousness, we achieve enlightenment itself. Paramahamsa enjoins us to meditate daily to reveal any field in which we have not yet perfected the response of spontaneous readiness for action, and cultivate it into flowering. Experience Is the Only Religion | Nithyananda Satsang | 27 May 2012 In(27th May 2012) talk on Bhagavad Gita, Chapter 4 Verse 37, Paramahamsa Nithyananda (Swamiji) discusses the crucial value of personal experience to spirituality. Experience is the fire that burns away our ignorance. In Paramahamsa's beautiful words, "Experience flows into your system like a current and makes your mind stop functioning in the same patterns." Paramahamsa gives a strong technique to ascertain that we do not stop short of the ultimate experience possible in life. When we set goals for ourselves, we may cease to expand once they are achieved. If instead we invite the Divine to forever move us onward toward the ultimate, we will never settle down complacently before we have fulfilled our possibility. When we sit in meditation our prayer should be, "Let me not be contented before the ultimate experience is showered upon me." When we sit in meditation our prayer should be, "Let me not be contented before the ultimate experience is showered upon me." TRANSCRIPTIONS:- Let's enter into today's satsang in Bhagavad Gita: 4th Chapter Jnana-Karma-Sanyasa Yoga 37th Verse; yathaidhaamsi samiddognihi bhasmasaat-kuruterjuna | jnaanaagnihi sarva-karmaani bhasmasaat-kurute tathaa || As the fire that is kindled burns into ashes the fuel, Oh Arjuna! in the same manner the fire of experience burns into ashes all the actions the patterns that keep making the person repeat the same action !Oh God! These are all straight attack. Understand, Bhagavan is not talking to you in a roundabout way. Simple truths very straight! He says straight away, just like fire burns the fuel; the experience burns all the patterns, over. I don't know what to comment on this. Such a simple truth being expressed in such a small number of words. Please understand such beautiful truth expressed in such a small number of words! Just as a blazing fire turns firewood into ashes; blazing fire turns fuel into ashes, the experience turns all the patterns into ashes. So strive in all possible ways to achieve experience. Let me define experience, what is experience? Experience is: something flows into your system like a current or a vibration, makes your mind stop working in the same patterns in which it is functioning. Sometimes it can be very light current flow, sometimes it can be a wild explosion but the vibrations which moves into your system and makes you understand the strong truth about yourself. See, that is the reason the Kundalini awakening and Levitation liberates you so quickly, because every time I awaken your Kundalini, you are programmed to my inner space; pattern less space; every time your body jumps some part of your patterns are destroyed. Every time your body moves, some part of your patterns are taken away. You can see, every time when your body levitates, tell yourself this time I will be free from this pattern. I tell you every time it is renovating your system. That is exactly the right word - renovating your system. Every time, the system in which you are living is renovated and rejuvenated because experience breaks any number of patterns. You may be thinking No, No, No, not mine; you don't know the amount of patterns I have; but whether it is one ton fire wood or one million ton firewood, kindled fire is capable of putting off; burning any amount of fire wood into ashes. So the kindled experience, the awakened Kundalini is capable of burning any amount of karmas, patterns into ashes. Work, work, work, with all the intensity to experience the Ultimate to experience the Ultimate! Kindled experience can lead you to any level, any amount, any path; kindled experience can show you the truth. Kindled experience can lead you to reality, awakened Kundalini can program you inner space pattern free. So work again and again and again and again for experience. Every day I am receiving more and more emails that people are practicing Prana samyama. I am very happy about it because, wasting the time without working for experience is the crime. That is the reason, every day I remind you to work for experience. Every day I insist you put your awareness and energy towards experience, the methods directly leading to experience: Unclutching, Feeling connection, Ajapa japa; Enchanting, Feeling connection, Unclutching! Constantly I remind you, it is for experience, the whole Dhyanapeetam is created for experience, all these temples are created for experience. I am sitting alive for experience, to give experience! I am bearing with all these nonsensical foolish enmity. Yesterday again one Bull sorry bull is sacred for Hindus, one Donkey, of course even Donkey is also sacred for Hindus, what to do everything is sacred for us; all right, one dash dash is telling me,

Self-Pity Is the Ultimate Sin | Nithyananda Satsang | 26 May 2012

26th May 2012 Morning Message. In today's talk on Bhagavad Gita, Chapter 4 Verse 36, Paramahamsa Nithyananda (Swamiji) warns us against wallowing in the mud of self-pity. When we insist on collapsing into our suffering and lamenting our sad situation, we block ourselves off from all spiritual help. Even guru cannot penetrate the wall of our selfishness. When we create trouble so great that even Master cannot intervene, we are committing sin. Actually, this behaviour is self-abuse because it keeps us locked into our negative patterns. If we can sit openly in the Master's presence and allow his compassion to melt us, we can break the pattern and come out of the karma it produces. Easiest Way to get Enlightened

A Clean Stomach Is Enough For Enlightenment! | Nithyananda Satsang | 25 May 2012 Bhagavad Gita (Song of God) is a timeless treatise on the essence of living enlightenment. In today's talk on Bhagavad Gita, Chapter 4 Verse 35, Paramahamsa Nithyananda (Swamiji) supplies a deeper definition for the term "clean stomach". Sri Krishna is not only talking about the physical stomach as is often translated. He actually refers to our hormonal space, to the status of our hormonal equilibrium. When we repeat the experience of internal chemical balance again and again, we create the alchemical shift to a physical state which embraces divine consciousness. This cleansing of our bio-memories -- establishing a "clean stomach" -- raises us into the zone of enlightenment. TRANSCRIPTIONS:- Let's start the morning satsang. In Bhagavad Gita, 4th chapter, Jnanakarmasanyasa Yoga, 35th verse Yag-naatvaa na punar moham evam yaasyasi paandava Yena bhootaanya-sheshena drakshyas-yaatman-yatho mayi Translation : Experiencing which, O Pandava, you will not have this confusion once again, for you will discern that all life forms, with no exception, are in your own self as they are in me. It is such a pleasure to have knowledge bomb every morning. I don't know about you guys, I am having it. Such pleasant space in the morning; I wake up and take bath slowly in my own way. My way of taking bath is -- I need to have water in a huge tub, almost like a, what you need for elephant. Really, I cannot take bath with less quantity water, two bucket, three bucket. No! I can live without food but this cleaning is a big ritual for me. And still I do all the rituals; aachamaneeyam, everything, and then only I will take bath as prescribed by Manu. Manu says seven times you have to wash after you finish your motion. So seven times I use soap. I'll count. Sometime if I am in hurry, at least seven times I'll touch. And then my taking bath is like a - if you have seen the deity of Amritakateshwara, he will be sitting with two big vessels and pouring on his head. That's the way I'll take bath. Means the whole body will become cool. Now I have one more thing added -- Puja. In this Madurai Adheenam tradition I have to perform Shiv puja every morning. What puja I'll perform? The moment I sit, already in Samadhi! And, but I have my own way. I'll put little vibhooti and little kumkum, little sandal and little water and flower; all that and it'll take two hours for me. Because by the time I put kumkum I'll fall into Samadhi. Then again settle down and pour little water. Anyhow after all that I come and sit here. It's like in pure inner space, a bomb -- a knowledge bomb. This what exactly I want even you guys to experience. Morning have enema so that stomach is clean, take bath, come with a fresh inner space and do the Guru puja. Then this energy bomb, the experience knowledge bomb falls on you. If your stomach is clean, this verse can directly become experience in you. See what is ultimate truth here -- Bhagwan says very clearly -- all life forms are part of your own self. That is the ultimate truth. Bhagwan says you forget again and again this truth because of confusion. Here Bhagwan is using word Moham. Na Aham is Naaham. Ma Aham is Moham. You surrendering yourself is Naaham. Namaha - Naaham. You being destroyed is Moham. Ma Aham -- Moham. If a horse comes and sits at your feet and obeys your command it is Naaham. Na Aham -- surrendering. You just throw a bomb at a horse and it dies and falls -- that is Moham. Ma Aham. The key word in this verse is Moham - Ma Aham. Bhagwan says 'All life forms are part of you'. This is the ultimate truth. But you again and again forget this truth because of Moham. Moham word should not be understood as a lust or greed. Please understand lust or greed is only the bomb. That is not Moham. Moham means destroying yourself - the confusion. Bhagwan says the Moham, the confusion takes away this truth - All life forms are part of you. It is being taken away from you again and again -- Punah Punaha. He says get into some experience which will not take away that ultimate from you again and again. It's a very subtle subject -- please listen intensely step by step. First all life forms are part of me. This is the truth. Now once you understand that sometimes you feel that, yes, if you take a handful of clay; if this is clay, If I understand this clay, if I know this clay thoroughly, then I know all the clay on the planet Earth thoroughly.

Imbibing the attitude of humble submission: To succeed against enemy's plot

Humbleness Makes Your Life Divine | Nithyananda Satsang | 24 May 2012 Bhagavad Gita (Song of God) is a timeless treatise on the essence of living enlightenment. In today's talk on Bhagavad Gita, Chapter 4 Verse 34, Paramahamsa Nithyananda (Swamiji) speaks on the importance of humility. When we relax into becoming humble our receptivity opens, and we are able to expand from every encounter. Even the trees and stones teach us. To experience their knowledge we must drop into a mode of receiving, of submission. This attitude of surrender raises us to the zone of divine consciousness as we connect deeply with all of life and merge our awareness with the whole universe. TRANSCRIPTIONS:- Let us start our morning satsang, In Bhagavad Gita, 4th chapter Gnanakarma sanyasa yoga, 34th verse: "Tadviddhi pranipaatena pariprashnena sevayaa Upadeksyanti te jnanam jnaninastattvadarsinaha" The translation: Understand these truths: By humble submission through enquiry or by resorting to the one who has perceived, experience, the true and essential nature and who will instruct you to that Cognizance, who will transmit that experience to you. This verse is one of the popular verses of BhagavadGita . "Tadviddhi pranipaatena pariprashnena sevayaa Upadeksyanti te jnanam jnaninastattvadarsinaha". It's a very popular verse. Please understand the essence of enlightenment. Bhagavan says very beautifully understand these truths: By humble submission through enquiry or by resorting to the one who has perceived, experienced the true essential nature and who will transmit that experience to you. The key word in this whole sutra is "pranipatena paniprasnena sevaya". I will tell you, with humbleness and the attitude to imbibe if you move, every stone, tree will teach you. Forget about enlightened master teaching you, that will surely happen. But, if you carry this two attitude, attitude of humbleness and attitude of learning, receiving, imbibing. Yesterday I was talking to one of the bramachari, casually I was mentioning how this whole Madurai Aadheenam is going to be rebuilt. We are going to make the whole thing in to five floor. The opposite property is also going to be our five floor property. That is the maximum allowed limit by corporation. So we are planning and I was telling some of the minute details presented in Meenakshi temple architecture and Kasi Vishwanath temple. Actually I wanted this place to be representing the whole India. So some of the minute details in Varanasi and Meenakshi temple and there is a sun temple in Konarak Orissa which has the huge wheel with 12 spokes. So I was talking about all these minute details how this is going to be built. He was telling how do you see all the details bless us also to get that. Please understand so many people who live around me whether they believe I am enlightened or incarnation or not that is different. But all of them are baffled by my awareness and by my memory and the way I put things together. Seeing that everybody is shaken and baffled, that no doubt. It's non controversial. Only my incarnationhood expressing is non controversial but all the qualities of incarnationhood expressing is non controversial. It is non controversial. It cannot be refuted. But I will tell you, I tell you really, keeping Chokkanatha and Meenakshi as the witness I give you the secret of this quality; understand, humbleness and attitude of imbibing. When I look at the temple, when I look at an architecture, when I look at a set information, even when I take up a new book to read I completely submit myself with the attitude of imbibing. Understand, people who live around me would have observed, even if I get a new laptop or a machine I will hold it in my hand for few seconds, with all humbleness I submit, to imbibe you as part of me; even newspaper or any book! People who lived around me would have observed it. Anything I touch, first I surrender with humble submission, attitude of imbibing.

Nithyananda on Shiva leelas in Madurai | Nithyananda Satsang | 21 May 2012

Bhagavad Gita (Song of God) is a timeless treatise on the essence of living enlightenment. The Gita was imparted by the enlightened Hindu incarnation Sri Krishna to the warrior-prince Arjuna over 5000 years ago. Amazingly, the spiritual wisdom and life solutions offered in the Gita are so universal and current that it is even today used as a personal transformation guide. In today's talk on Bhagavad Gita, Chapter 4 Verse 32, Paramahamsa Nithyananda (Swamiji) uneveils the truth of Shiva's leelas (wisdom revealed through dramas of life), downloaded from the Akashic Records. First he expands on Sri Krishna's renowned ras leela by explaining that Krishna did not play only with the gopikas: his dance of life was with the Whole! He made leela with trees, stones, animals, wind, stars -- the entire cosmos became involved. Paramahamsa then turns to Shiva's leelas, which are not generally known. These lovely games of enlightenment are centered in Madurai, where Shiva made his earliest appearances on Earth. Eleven times he took form in Madurai area. Sixty-four leelas are recorded of his adventures and exploits in Madurai. Paramahamsa shares them one by one with us. To hear these beautiful stories is to experience a new level of Shiva consciousness. TRANSCRIPTIONS:- Shiva Leelas in Madurai Bhagavad Gita 4th Chapter Jnana Karma Sanyasa Yoga 32nd verse Evam bahu-vidhaa yagnaa vitataa brahmano mukhe | Karmajaan-viddhi taan sarvaan evam jnaatvaa vimokshyase|| Translation : Thus worship of the Divine energies is performed in various ways in the beginning of expansion; Understand that all of them originate in actions; knowing this you will be liberated. Sri Krishna is revealing some of the mystical secrets: How various Divine energies come into existence and how by connecting with them your expansion is possible. Please understand, one example I wanted to give: Bramha in Hindu stories; Hindu puranas; Bramha becomes egoistic so Shiva's extension comes out as Kalabhairava and cuts Brahmas head removes the ego of Brahma and makes Brahma Enlightened. This action: Shivas energy coming out and removing the ego of Brahma and making him enlightened; this action becomes Kalabhairava. So when you connect with Kalabhairava and start worshiping the Divine energy called Kalabhairava, he removes your ego also and gives you enlightenment. Same way Veerabhadra: Shiva's energy expanded and destroyed the collective negativity of Daksha which causes suffering for himself and for others. Many time your pain body becomes so strong, knowingly you cause suffering to you and to others even though you know you are causing suffering to you and to others, but the pain pattern is so strong you can't escape! I can see very clearly so many people they know if they are out of Me, if they are away from Me they are going to create suffering for themselves, but their ego, arrogance is so strong they can't live, they can't live around me. I have seen so many times even devotees they know if they listen to my teachings and live they will be out of their sufferings and tortures they are doing to themselves and to others, but they don't want! Daksha represents the negativity which causes suffering to youself and to others. Shiva's energy which came out and destroyed the Daksha's negativity is Veerabhadra. Understand, Veerabhadra did not kill Daksha, he gave life back to Daksha. So, this energy which destroy's your negativity of giving suffering to yourself and to others is called Veerabhadra. If you connect with this Divine energy and pray, feel connected, you will see in you also the pain body: the patterns which creates suffering for yourself and others will be destroyed. It's a beautiful verse! Evam bahu-vidhaa yagnaa vitataa brahmano mukhe | Karmajaan-viddhi taan sarvaan evam jnaatvaa vimokshyase|| Thus worship of the Divine energies is performed in various ways in the beginning of expansion, understand that all of them originate in actions, knowing this you will be liberated. Same way if you are frozen / closed then start connecting with Krishna, who is doing rasa leela who just opened himself to the whole universe! Understand Krishna's rasa leela did not happen just with gopikas: it happened with the plants, trees, rocks, Yamuna, whole thing and the poornima chandara, the full moon. With the 'whole' he had rasa leela. His rasa leela was enjoyed by the whole existence, gopikas were also happened to be there that's all; it was not concentrated towards gopikas, it was with the whole! So, if you are frozen, having the sickening suffocation (many time people do have this sickening suffocation) come on then expand, it is time you mediate on Rasaleela Krishna. So, each action of Divine, each action of an incarnation becomes independent energy by itself. Shiva's one action, cutting Brahmas head and giving him enlightenment, it became a independent energy called Kalabhairava. Shiva's one action of killing the negativity of Daksha and .....

Bhagavad Gita (Song of God) is a timeless treatise on the essence of living enlightenment. The Gita was imparted by the enlightened Hindu incarnation Sri Krishna to the warrior-prince Arjuna over 5000 years ago. Amazingly, the spiritual wisdom and life solutions offered in the Gita are so universal and current that it is even today used as a personal transformation guide In today's talk on Bhagavad Gita, Chapter 4 Verse 30, Paramahamsa Nithyananda (Swamiji) emphasizes the clarity of Sri Krishna's teaching. Krishna does not leave any space for misinterpretation in his description of prana samyama, the practice of self-remembrance. If we do not achieve recollection of the self by offering all of our actions to the prana, we cannot even reap the rewards of ordinary life, never mind advancing spiritually! This practice is so fundamental to living a fruitful existence that without it we cannot even call ourselves alive. Today they are all gathering to give a press meet. And I've also one more good news for you guys -- 400 people have taken up yesterday - the praana samyama. The praana samyama is now being practiced from day before yesterday by 400 people across the world and once you all complete the 21 days, I'll initiate you all in hunger-free and thirst-free samyama and now I have been very successful in making your system function without losing energy or any basic things and without having food. I'm very successful in initiating people. We'll be able to do it. Let's enter into today's satsang, In Bagavad Geeta 4th chapter Jnana Karma Sanyasa Yoga 31st verse. "Yagya-Shishtaa-Mruta-Bhujo Yaanthi Brahma Sanaatanam Naayam Lokostya-yagnyasaya kutonyak-kurusattama" Yagya-Shishtaa-Mruta-Bhujaha Yaanthi Brahma Sanaatanam, Naayam Lokosti yagnyasaya kutah anyaha kurusattama The new translation "The one who experiences the state of imperishableness that remains after sacrifice moves to the state of external expansion but for the one that does not sacrifice even this ordinary life is not there. What to say about other worlds, other states of being, O best among Kurus." If you understand this one verse, you will iunderstand the impact of praana samyama on your life. Bhagwan is continuously addressssing about praana samyama in this verse also. He says "having tasted the nectar of the results of such sacrifices" -- Please understand, here the word "sacrifice" means offering all your actions into praana -- means being established into praana, the self-remembrance, even while you are functioning in all actions, even while you are doing all actions. Bhagwan is continuing actually last 3 verses are on the same subject Praana samyama. He is telling you about the benefits and now he is telling - If you are not established in praana, self-remembrance, even this world you won't get., what about the other worlds -- forget about it. He is very clear. He is making it very clear categorically. Please understand -- Sri Krishna have a very logical and systematic, strategic brain! He is not Bhole Baba, like Shiva. If you read whole Shiva Sutras, not a single instruction is categorical! He says, if you want meditate on the heart center. If not meditate on the agnya centre. If not -- sit observing your breath. If you read the whole Shiva Sutras, it is all about options.

Unlocking self-awareness: a journey within

Meditation Technique For Centering | Nithyananda Satsang | 19 May 2012 Bhagavad Gita (Song of God) is a timeless treatise on the essence of living enlightenment. In today's talk on Bhagavad Gita, Chapter 4 Verse 30, Paramahamsa Nithyananda (Swamiji) continues his instruction on self-remembrance. When we offer all our actions to prana -- to the ability to recall what we are --we gain immense benefit even from very small effort. At first we may find it difficult to maintain this conscious recollection and still engage in the activities of daily life, but with repetition we can strengthen our skills and ultimately we are successful. Keeping a journal of each activity -- driving to work, taking a meeting -- allows us to gauge our progress. During the twenty minute drive, did we remember the self for each of those twenty minutes? By tracking our focus throughout the day, we polish and perfect our practice. TRANSCRIPTIONS:- Today's satsang, 4th chapter in Bhagavad geeta -- Jnana Karma Sanyasa yoga 30th verse. Apare Niyataa-haaraha praanaan-praaneshu juhvathi Sarvep-yete yagna-bidaha yagnya-kshapita-kalmashaaha Having restrained taking food, others who know the power of sacrifice offer their life breath into the vital air Praana and have the sins thrown out by this sacrifice. See, yesterday I made it very clear. If you practice the Praana Samyama: the 3 things En-Chanting, Feeling connection, Unclutching. I will be able to easily lead you in to the hunger free samyama. Today Bhagwan is exactly describing the second samyama. "Having restrained taking food others who know the power of sacrifice, offer their life breath in to the vital air and have the sins thrown out by this sacrifice." Please understand, some of the basic truths. The basic sacred secrets you need to know from this life, from this verse is -- constantly offering all your actions into your Praana. What it means? Means -- during all your activities, how much ever it may be demanding -- without losing your self, completely centered. Being centered in eN-Chanting, feeling connection and unclutching. That is what Krishna means "offering all your actions in to Praana". Please understand, here Praana means the ability of self-remembrance; ability of being spiritual centered, enlightenment centered, atma centric, Higher self centered. That is exactly what is meant by the word Praana. All you need to do let the whole day your routine, your life be centered on this self-remembrance -- these 3 actions: eN-Chanting, feeling connection and unclutching. Whole day. Unfortunately some of your actions demand your complete attention, emotion, complete involvement. Even during those actions start empowering the moments of remembrance. Please understand -- start empowering. Many of your actions may demand your whole attention. In the beginning it may not be that easily possible for you to be centered on unclutching and eN-chanting and feeling connection. But I tell you -- any activity, any action is possible being centered on Praana just by little practice. That is why Krishna says in another one Bhagawad Geeta verse "even little bit of practice of this great science brings huge benefit. It's like a billions of rupees worth diamonds and gold is there in one room. You are doing only one small action -- opening the room. You'd have never imagined just that small action of opening the room will make you rich in one minute. You'd have never imagined such huge benefit will come by such a small action of opening the room. It was there in that room for ages, just now you got the key, you opened it, suddenly you saw -- Wow. It is all yours. Many time small actions you do does not bring big benefits. So you don't trust the small actions can bring big benefits. But rarely small actions do bring big benefits. This action -- the action of being Praana centered, even if it is small, practiced very little -- it brings huge benefits, great benefits. And I tell you, you will become so alive and productive. If you take 4 days of vacation and not being productive constantly, you are equivalent to dead. Now all we need to do is just put little more mud on your head and cover it. You already have clay in your brain -- you just need little more mud to cover your body. Just 4 days in your life continuously if you fall in to the laziness pattern, after that even you cannot help yourself. When you can't help yourself, neither God nor Guru can help you. Please understand whether Guru or God, even if they want to help you, they can't help you if you can't help yourself.

Empower your Self-Remembrance ( Prana Samyama ) | Nithyananda Satsang | 18 May 2012

In today's talk on Bhagavad Gita, Chapter 4 Verse 29, Paramahamsa Nithyananda (Swamiji) defines prana. Usually interpreted as "life-giving force", Paramahamsa spins a deeper mystical meaning by asserting that it means "the moments when we remember that we exist" -- when we are aware and have consciousness of our existence. The opposite of prana, apana, he defines as "forgetfulness that we exist". Prana can absorb apana and can ultimately dissolve maya, the delusions of existence, which cannot prevail in the presence of full awareness. The technique to increase our self-remembrance is a threefold practice: ajapa japa, the soundless chanting of mantra; mahabhaava, maintaining an overflowing feeling connection to the divine; and sahaja samadhi, the technique of unclutching. TRANSCRIPTIONS:- BhagwadGita 4th chapter, 29th verse : Apaane Juhvathi Pranam Praana Paanam Thathapare Praana paana Ghanti Ruthva Praanayaama Parayanaah New Translation : Some offer the incoming vital air, into the vital air that is moving inward and some offer the inwardbound vital air into the incoming vital air. Thus they do Pranaayaama by checking the Praana and Apaana. Bhagwaan is describing a very powerful process, a technique, method, to achieve the ultimate consciousness. Here the word Praana and Apaana is used. Please understand, the word Praana and Apaana, you need to understand in depth. Some offer the incoming vital air into the vital air that is moving inward and some offer the inward bound vital air into the incoming vital air. Thus they do Praanayaama by checking the Praana and Apaana. Let me give you the deepest meaning of this word Praana and Apaana. Constantly in you, for a moment you remember you exist and after few moments you forget you exist and your mind starts wondering here and there. Try, try this process, try to just sit and remember about you, just -- I exist; I remember me; I exist; I remember me; just a self-remembrance! Try, try the self-remembrance. In few seconds you will forget. Please understand, the moments you remember yourself is Praana. The moments you forget you exist is Apaana. Unless you forget you exist, you can't remember you exist. Unless you remember you exist, you won't forget you exist. The Praana and Apaana live together. But how, Mercury slowly absorbs the Gold, Praana can absorb Apaana. If Mercury and Gold is kept near, if they are touching each other, Mercury will swallow the Gold and Gold will lose its qualities into the Mercury. Same way if the Praana is allowed to function, means, if the self-remembrance is increased by your conscious will, if you are supporting the self-remembrance by your conscious decision, it will swallow the Apaana part, the self-forgetting moments. Please understand, the most subtle Vedantic Truth, most subtle spiritual truth. If you try to remember yourself, constantly be in the Unclutching or remembrance of the higher self. Only if you try, you will understand what I am saying, just remembering - I exist; I am; I exist; I am here; I feel me; Yes, I am alive; I remember me; I am! If you just remember you, that self-remembrance., for some people that self-remembrance will be there without disturbance, may be for 3 seconds; for some it will be 10 seconds. Usually none of you will have more than 12 seconds. That's the maximum for a normal conscious being. By the time one flicker of thought will come. If somebody can establish themselves in the self-remembrance for 21 seconds he is enlightened, Jeevan Mukta. 21 seconds is a too long period to be established in that self-remembrance. Then your mind breaks, you become liberated being. This self-remembrance, when you are trying, the thoughts which come because of your forgetfulness, due to your forgetfulness, the forgetfulness is Apaana. Remembrance is Praana, forgetfulness is Apaana. Now, you are not supposed to hate Apaana. Constantly you create a guilt in you -- 'Oh, I loose; I forget; the forgetfulness happens to me; I don't remember; I am not qualified.' You are constantly worrying and struggling with Apaana. Stop it! Work on Praana. Whenever you remember, understand it's a luck, bonus, gift! Celebrate Praana. Celebrate the moments of self-remembrance! Stop feeling guilty; stop suffering; stop suffocating yourself for the moments of forgetfulness. But unfortunately your mind is tuned to suffer the forgetfulness. I always repeat -- Meera's Bhakti and Andaal's Bhakti! Meera constantly suffers for the few moments she misses Krishna! Andaal constantly celebrates for the few moments she remembers Krishna!
